RepairAmigo features: front counter to back office
A module-by-module look at RepairAmigo repair shop management software, written for owners of cell phone, computer and console repair shops who want one system for the whole day.
Smart intake
Check in a device in seconds. Returning customers are found by phone number, and their details fill themselves in. Device, brand and model pickers and problem lists per device type keep intake short, and each check-in ends with a printed receipt with a barcode. The receiving screen covers new, repeat, warranty, purchase or search.
Instant, consistent pricing
Labor, parts and tax are calculated the moment you pick the problem, using your price list, so every quote is the same whoever is at the counter. There is one clear price per screen repair, and minimum labor and add-ons are handled for you. Managers edit prices in one place, and missing prices are flagged, never guessed.
Repair workflow
Technicians update tickets with the repair performed, a status and comments, so the team always knows what comes next. Status, repair performed, assigned tech, quoted price and comments sit on one screen. Repair Performed lists are editable, and repair statuses are custom and reorderable, while critical statuses are locked. Warranty tickets stand out in red. An optional commission on protective case sales is also available.
Live inventory
Screens and parts, including batteries, ports and cameras, are deducted automatically when a repair is saved. Low or negative stock warnings appear right on the ticket, and stock that drops below zero blinks red so it gets reordered. You can receive stock and set counts in one click, hide items, and see the full history with links to the tickets. The Owner and Manager are texted when a count is changed manually.
Cash management
Track register and safe balances, morning deposits, sales deposits and withdrawals, with typed confirmations so mistakes don't happen. Balances run per day, and a daily sales summary can be sent by text.
Users and roles
RepairAmigo has Owner, Manager and Technician roles. Sensitive settings sit behind a manager password, managers can approve on the spot, and every change is logged. Staff profiles include rates.
Customer notifications
Customers get automatic text updates when a device is received, needs their input, or is ready for pick-up. These are optional, one-way texts sent through your own Twilio account, with settings you edit in the app.
Warranty built in
Warranty returns link back to the original repair and get priority. You get warranty receipts and banners, warranty problem lists, and the repair history at a glance.
Reports and point of sale
Reports cover sales, accounting, protective case commissions, refunds and returns, on a daily or period basis. A cash sale screen handles accessories and walk-ins, and there is a devices-for-sale catalog and referral codes.
Designed for the counter, not the classroom
The interface uses big buttons and clear colors, with no training manuals required. The main menu puts receiving, cash sale, management and the devices in the shop one tap away, with color-coded tiles and a Standard Operating Procedure built in, so new employees find their way on day one. It works on any screen and any browser.
The shop in your pocket
On a phone, the same rules, prices and checks apply. Technicians can update tickets and count stock from the bench.
Where it runs
RepairAmigo runs on your computer (Windows PCs and Intel Macs), as a VM in the free VirtualBox software, and it also runs on 64-bit x86 Linux PCs with VirtualBox. Your data stays on your own computer. It begins with a 30-day free trial, followed by an optional one-time paid version, currently US $99, with no subscription.
